Strathfarrar Munros - 25 July 2014

Glen Strathfarrar - 25 July 2014!

On Friday I went to the beautiful Glen Strathfarrar. With an excellent forecast, the NW Highlands couldn't have looked any better, simply stunning!
As I walked in to the first Munro the heat was intense and energy sapping but as I gained height there was a welcoming light breeze. The views were to die for, The Cuillins to the West, Ben Klibreck to the North, The Moray Firth to the East and Ben Nevis to the South, just awesome!
It was really nice to see a pair of dotterels but the cleggs (Horse-fly) were testing my patience, luckily I had the hills to myself and nobody saw my crazy dance moves.
Upon reaching the road head at Inchvuilt, it suddenly dawned on me that the 7km walk on tarred road in the searing heat was going to be relentless. To say I was knackered when I reached the car would be an understatement, the 7km road walk was harder than the day on the hill!
Note to self - bring bike next time...
Simply an Awesome day.
