Sunshine and showers on Cul Mor - 08 August 2014

Last week I was camping in the beautiful town of Ullapool and after a failed attempt earlier in the week due to weather, torrential rain, it was back up to the car park beside Knockan Crag to climb the Corbett, Cul Mor, 849m.
As I made my way up the ridge of Meallan Diomhain the weather was looking promising but by the time I had attained the NE ridge the cloud had come in from the SW and the heavens opened. By the time I had went to the summit of Cul Mor, 849m and descended to the col the weather had improved so I decided to head for the S summit for the outstanding views over the Inverpolly National Nature Reserve, I was not disappointed!

Lancaster Bomber flying overhead, the noise was incredible!

Amazing erosion on the summit of Cul Mor

Looking S from Cul Mor towards Creag nan Calman

With improving weather the views were breathtaking, Looking West towards Stac Pollaidh, 612m
